Stevie Kincade My favorite album of 2012. I *think* most of the production is Lord Gamma. The beats are just amazing slices of gritty noirish genius. Apakalypse style can only be described as raw as f*ck as his rhymes seem stream of consciousness but have an intricate design and intent behind them. Jahnigga the Baptist says hes from another planet and I believe him. Atma has the persona of guru and evokes imagery with every rhyme. Very mystical but less dark then the other albums more a celebration of life. Favorite track: Poor Righteous Teachers.

Patrick Apocs This has to currently be my favorite rap group. I enjoy Jah's material the most when he is rapping amongst Atma and Apakalypse. This album has a more upbeat tone to it for the most part, embracing living life to the fullest in the moment. This album also focuses on existentialism, questioning our value systems and the idea of thinking for yourself. I highly recommend this album to any intellectual who wants to challenge their mind. Favorite track: Island of Patmos.

The lyrics on this album are very creative and have a lot of depth to them. It surprises me how these two are consistently able to create new ways to challenge my mind to grasp the concepts and images they are trying to portray. As the title suggests, this album contains religious and philosophical content, through its complex and abstract lyrics.
